James Kisicki is an American film and stage actor. == Biography == James Kisicki was born in Chicago, Illinois, but grew up in Ocala, Florida. Although he was interested in the arts from an early age, Kisicki decided to become a priest. He completed eight years in seminary in Ohio and Florida, and was ordained in 1968. Eventually, Kisicki moved to Detroit, Michigan where he completed a Master of Fine Arts in acting from Wayne State University. During college and afterwards, Kisicki became known for his stage performances. Larry Devine, a theater critic from the Detroit Free Press, created the James Kisicki Award in 1975, which is given annually to the "Most Versatile Actor" of the year in the Detroit area. In 1977, Kisicki joined the resident acting company of the Cleveland Play House. He stayed with the company for nine years. Through his career, he has appeared in plays like ''Inherit the Wind'', ''Henry IV'', ''Fiddler on the Roof'', ''The Lion in Winter'', among many others. His title role in ''The Magistrate'' earned him a nomination for Best Actor of the Year in Detroit, but he lost to Henry Fonda. However, he was picked as Best Supporting Actor for his role of Polonius in ''Hamlet''. In 1978, Kisicki started his film and television career appearing in the mini-series ''Centennial''. After that, he has appeared in films like ''The Shawshank Redemption'', ''Wonder Boys'', and ''Diabolique'', among others.
